Dear Avery,
I know Mommy has been pretty cranky lately, and sometimes you get the brunt of it. You are such a chatterbox and a go-go-go person, and it's hard for me to keep up with you these days. My patience is wearing thin, and it's by no fault of your own. Being pregnant (as I hope you will experience one day in your life- a long ways from today) can cause you to be crabby, especially toward the end. I'm hot and crabby and sometimes in a tad bit of pain. But remember that I will always love you. And that this will pass. Pretty soon, I'll just be crabby from having 2 little ones. ;) I know you are going to be an amazing big sister and I'm already so proud of the little person you are becoming. But above all things know that I love you more than life itself.
Love, Mom

Mama's getting weepy....
Today has been a not great day for me. I woke up with cramps and contractions and just an overall weird, blah, feeling. I'm having sharp pains on both sides of my belly and I haven't really left the couch much except to use the restroom (yes it's 7:34 pm at night and I haven't taken a shower- not really worried about it). Andrew had to play at church, so right after he left my sister came over to get Avery for me (who is still feeling a little under the weather from her antibiotics she was taking this week) so that I could just rest a bit myself. I'm still feeling yucky, but I'm also feeling emotional sitting here thinking about how my daughter, my precious little angel baby, is turning 3 in about 2 weeks. And that shortly after that, said angel baby is going to be a big sister to another little angel baby. And by the way mama is feeling today, 2nd little angel baby may be here sooner than we originally anticipated. Which makes me even more weepy. And then I get a little weepy if I think this is how I'm going to be feeling for the next 3 weeks and I'm not going to be able to enjoy the last few weeks with Avery just Avery. Our time of being a family of 3 is slowly coming to an end. I'm super anxious, super excited, and super nervous!!!

Sick Avery
So, today, we dealt with a little sickness from Avery. Which came like totally out of the blue. Which typically happens to her, if you remember back to our croup ordeal that lead to several nights in the hospital. Started out totally innocent and turned bad - really fast.
Back to today.
Today was Lil Bit's 3 year well child exam. I cannot believe it's already that time. Well, technically it isn't, but I requested to have it early in June because I knew the next few weeks with my weekly appointments and Hadley's soon-to-be-appearance would be too hectic and I didn't want to miss her 3 year well child exam. So, I woke up today knowing I would be going to work, leaving to take Avery to her appointment, going back to work, then leaving to go to my appointment. Well, last night was a rough night with Avery. Not too long ago, we experienced our first restless night due to nightmares. So, when she woke up crying last night, that's what I automatically assumed would be the issue. I got up with her first, then Andrew, then when she cried again, he let her go lay down with him (as I am currently sleeping on the couch for the remainder of this pregnancy). When I went in to wake them, he said she had been tossing and turning all night and she mentioned once that her ear hurt. So i added that to my list of things to ask the doctor (which was fairly short).
I mentioned my few things to the doctor and she checked Avery out and diagnosed her with a double ear infection. :( Poor thing.
I decided to just stay home for the middle of the afternoon to get her prescription and medicine taken care of. And I'm really glad I did, because we weren't home for 30 minutes when she puked. 2 more puking episodes and another bath later, she finally fell asleep before I left for my appointment (around 2:15) and was asleep when I got back (around 4:30). She's been acting much better since then, but I just hate to see her sick! My guess is allergies/sinuses caused the ear infections, and the drainage from that is causing an upset stomach (Mommy suffers from the same thing- I get it really bad like that 1-2 times a year - sorry dear).
I hate dealing with her when she's sick: 1) because who wants to see their child sick? 2) she gets realllly crabby when she's sick and 3) it's really hard cleaning up puke, giving baths, etc. while having contractions. Kneeling on bathroom floors are never fun, let alone when it takes 10 minutes to get back to a standing position. I hope this passes SOON!

Avery's 3rd Birthday Party!
Although her birthday isn't until June 24th, the party this year was a little early to ensure that Mommy would be there and able to work it. Well, Mommy was there and made it to about 3/4 of the party planning day before my legs gave out on me and caused me to cry and sit from the pain (my knees have never carried this much weight before... they're worn out). So anyway, the party was a success! Avery got her Yo Gabba Gabba birthday party wish! My mom made all 5 characters out of... a bunch of stuff I couldn't properly name, except I know stuffing and material were involved. They were awesome and when we went to set up for the party, her face was priceless! We had an awesome balloon guy for the first hour making balloon characters for the kids (and some adults) and Deanette did face painting for the kids also. We had "Pin the Eye on Muno" and "Brobee's Bean Bag Toss" games with prizes (side note: never purchase cheap playdoh aka party dough because it's horrible and sticky and not right and was just thrown away... so even though I originally "saved" $5, it wasn't worth it). We also had a "Plex's Party Book Coloring" station where kids could color a little coloring book my mom made with Avery's pictures and Yo Gabba Gabba characters that go to Avery's party (pretty cool) and a "DJ Lance's Dancey Dance Game" station where the kids had a dance party and won some cool (albeit cheap) sunglasses. Then we had cake and cupcakes and ice cream and Ave got to open her presents. My mom also made the cake and cupcakes, which were so cool. And the kids had an impromptu dance party on the stage with the Yo Gabba Gabba music. I'd say it was a pretty successful party (I'm a little proud of it and couldn't have done it without my mom and sisters- the best!!!). Here are some pictures of the fun day:
